CHAIN REACTION (PCR)

Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is a common molecular biology technique that enables researchers to make multiple copies of a specific region of DNA. DNA analysis requires amplification in order for there to be enough DNA to give a detectable signal for quantification. PCR is efficient, rapid and can amplify DNA or RNA sequences from various sources. Once the DNA has been sufficiently amplified, the resulting product can be sequenced, analyzed by gel electrophoresis, or cloned into a plasmid for experimental purposes.

Insulated Isothermal PCR (iiPCR)

1) POCKIT™ is based on the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology, which is a molecular biology technique used for nucleic acid amplification.

2) POCKIT™ is based on the natural thermal convection phenomenon, which is simpler and more effective than mechanical heating and cooling.

3) POCKIT™ is qualitative PCR amplification and detection system based on iiPCR technology.

4) POCKIT™ using fluorescence-based iiPCR reagents, and is equipped with up to two optical channels (520 nm / 550 nm) for multiplex detection.

5) Magnetic bead-based nucleic acid extraction (more sensitive and accurate).

6) Passed the evaluation test conducted by Institute for Medical Research (IMR), National Institutes of Health Malaysia with 100% Sensitivity & Specificity as qPCR.
